How it is worked out

Moisture loss = weight × (wet − dry) ÷ (100 − dry). Example: 1,000 kg of maize at 18% dried to 13.5% loses 52.02 kg (5.2%), leaving 947.98 kg.

What this is. A calculation aid for grain intake, using figures from EAS 2:2017 (maize) and EAS 51:2017 (wheat). Where this app and the published standard differ, the published standard prevails.

Your calculations stay private. No account or sign-up is required. If you allow analytics, we record that SureGrain was opened, but we never collect weights, prices, grades, results or anything else you enter. The day log is stored on this phone only and you can clear it any time.
