

Kevin is a grain handling specialist with background in Food Science and Technology and with over 12 years’ experience in managing grain handling businesses. He has expertise in setting up grain business processes, inventory management, grain quality management, continuous improvement, operational excellence, warehouse receipt systems, and occupational safety and health. Kevin has worked for Lesiolo Grain Handlers Limited and Cargill Kenya Limited, the largest private grain handler in Kenya, and one of the largest agricultural enterprises in the world respectively. He has consulted for many organizations such as Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) and Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) including designing training materials and providing grain handling training to warehouse operators in the East Africa Community for them. He is a contributing author in Commercial Grain Storage in Structured Trade System Handbook published by CTA.

Patrick is a Food Safety specialist with background in Food Science and Technology and with over 14 years’ experience in Post-harvest management of grains, quality management systems, value chain analysis, and occupational health and safety. Patrick has worked for Lesiolo Grain Handlers Limited, East Africa Malting Limited, Fintrac Kenya (USAID-KAVES project) and Cargill Kenya Limited. In these organizations, Patrick took various roles such as Quality Manager, Value Chain Specialist (with specific focus on Cereals and Pulses), Training of Trainers, and Environmental Health & Safety specialist. He has actively participated in the EAC Cereals & Pulses Standards Committee through Eastern Africa Grain Council, designed training materials, as well as training Warehouse Operators and Quality Analysts for the Cereal Millers Association. He is a certified Pest Control Officer under Pest Management Association of Kenya, a Trained Fire Marshal, and an Occupational First Aider.
